What it does

Cite at your cursor

Place your cursor, click Cite — the in-text citation lands exactly where you're writing.

Self-updating bibliography

Insert it once. Add or remove citations and the reference list rebuilds automatically.

Five citation styles

APA, MLA, Chicago, IEEE, BibTeX. Switch styles and every citation converts in one click.

Notes beside your writing

Reading notes from your library appear in the sidebar while you write.

Setup

Ready in two minutes

No installation. Works in any browser where Google Docs runs.

01

Generate your API token

Go to Settings → Generate Token. Copy it — it's your library key.

02

Open EzyCite in Google Docs

In any Doc go to Extensions → EzyCite → Open sidebar.

03

Connect your library

Paste the token and click Connect. All your papers appear instantly.

04

Cite while you write

Click Cite on any paper, choose a style, then Insert Bibliography — it stays in sync.

Private by design

The add-on only accesses the document you're editing and talks only to EzyCite's servers. Your document content is never read or stored. Tokens are hashed and can be revoked anytime in Settings.
